1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Faruk Albayrak (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use the DayLeft mobile application (the “App”).
Support site: https://albayrakfaruk.github.io/dayleft-support/
2. Short summary
- Your budget and expense entries are stored on your device. We do not operate a user account system and we do not sync your spending ledger to our servers.
- We do not connect to your bank and we never ask for banking login credentials.
- We use Firebase Analytics (without advertising ID) and Firebase Crashlytics for anonymous product events and crash reports. Expense amounts, notes, and budget figures are not sent. We do not run advertising networks.
- Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat only to check whether your subscription entitlement is active.
- We may ask for notification permission only if you enable reminders. Reminders are scheduled locally on your device.
- Contact us anytime at veloratechsystems@gmail.com.
3. Information we process
3.1 Information stored on your device
Depending on how you use the App, the following may be stored locally on your iPhone (including via App Group storage shared with widgets):
- Budget settings (for example daily/monthly allowance, currency, rollover preference, reminder time)
- Expense entries you log (amount, optional note, date, one-off / unexpected flag)
- Onboarding answers used to personalize copy
- Appearance preferences
This local data stays on your device unless you choose to delete it in the App, delete the App, or unless Apple system backups (for example iCloud device backup) include app data according to your device settings.
3.2 Purchases and subscriptions (Apple + RevenueCat)
If you start a free trial or purchase a subscription, payment is handled by Apple. We use RevenueCat to manage entitlement status (for example whether DayLeft Pro is active). RevenueCat / Apple may process purchase tokens, product identifiers, and subscription status. We do not receive your full payment card number. Expense amounts and notes are not sent to RevenueCat.
3.3 Product analytics and crash reports (Firebase)
We use Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand which screens and buttons are used, and to diagnose crashes. Events are anonymous (no user account, no advertising identifier). We do not send expense amounts, notes, category names, or budget numbers. Firebase / Google may process device and app identifiers, coarse usage events, and crash stack traces in order to provide these services.
3.4 Support communications
If you email us at veloratechsystems@gmail.com, we process the content of your message and your email address so we can respond.
3.5 Permissions
- Notifications: only if you enable reminders. Notification content is generated and scheduled on your device. You can revoke this in iOS Settings → DayLeft.
4. What we do not collect
- No bank account credentials or bank transaction imports
- No contacts, photos, microphone, or precise location for the core product
- No third-party advertising networks or IDFA / ATT tracking
- No sale of your personal information
- No upload of your expense amounts, notes, or budget figures to our servers
5. How we use information
- To provide the App’s features on your device
- To unlock and maintain subscription entitlements
- To understand how the App is used and to fix crashes (Firebase)
- To respond to support requests
- To comply with law where required
6. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)
Where applicable, we rely on:
- Contract — providing the App and subscription features you request
- Legitimate interests — security, subscription entitlement checks, product analytics and crash diagnosis, balanced against your rights
- Consent — where required (for example notification permission)
- Legal obligation — when the law requires us to retain or disclose information
7. Sharing
We share information only with processors needed to run the App:
- Apple — App Store distribution, payments, and the system notifications infrastructure
- RevenueCat — subscription entitlement management
- Google Firebase — Analytics and Crashlytics
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety.
8. Retention
- On-device budget/expense data remains until you delete it in the App or delete the App (subject to device backups).
- Support emails are retained as long as needed to resolve your request and maintain ordinary business records.
- Subscription records may be retained by Apple / RevenueCat as needed for accounting, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.
9. Security
Network calls to processors (Apple / RevenueCat / Firebase) use platform HTTPS. Because core financial entries live on your device, protecting your iPhone passcode / biometrics and keeping iOS updated is an important part of overall security.
10. Children’s privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Your choices and rights
- Delete local App data from within the App (Settings) or by deleting the App
- Disable notifications in iOS Settings
- Manage or cancel subscriptions in Apple’s Subscriptions settings
- Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing. Contact us at veloratechsystems@gmail.com
For Apple privacy labels / nutrition labels, see the App Store listing. Practices can vary based on the features you use.
12. International transfers
Apple, RevenueCat, and Google Firebase may process related data in the United States or other countries. Where required, those providers use appropriate safeguards.
13. Changes
We may update this Policy. We will post the updated version with a new effective date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
